During the recent round of UCLU Clubs & Societies affiliation the following lu- dicrous applications were re- jected: the Suit Society, which reportedly aimed to teach men ‘how to wear suits’, the Pole Fitness Society, which presum- ably would have been a step- ping stone to Spearmint Rhino, and last but not least the Pae- diatric Society!? At least we now have T’Northern Society. Deep-fried Mars bars, anyone?
