My Gossip Garglers! Did you miss me? A new year approaches with new students to match, but whilst the societies all put on their very best shiny smiles, I feel it is my duty to make sure you are kept abreast of their dark underbellies.
Music Society was certainly not Harmonious last year. My sources tell me that despite starting the year firmly in the green, an out-of-tune treasurer has left you playing in Debt Major. My sources tell me debt in the region of £5000 would not be considered inaccurate. This treasurer certainly has a lot to answer for: conductors were paid late, contracts breached, and threats of legal action made. My, my music society! However, are you going to sort this one out?
You’ll all become familiar with me soon enough, freshers. In the meantime, try to behave at UCL, but then again, it is certainly more interesting when you don’t.
